With 4 years as a Red Cross WSI-certified Water Safety Instructor, I
am passionate about making swimming safe, fun, and accessible for all.
Growing up in Southampton, swimming in the ocean and bay sparked my
love for the water, and I enjoy helping others build confidence and
skill in and around it.
As a special education teacher with a Master’s in Education and
Special Education, I have extensive experience adapting lessons to
meet individual learning needs. This background allows me to provide
patient, personalized instruction for swimmers of all abilities,
especially those who may feel overwhelmed in water environments.
My goal is to help every swimmer feel confident, safe, and empowered in the water.
Trust First – I create a fun, play-based environment where students
feel safe and supported. Music, games, and positive reinforcement help
each swimmer feel comfortable while learning essential skills.
Sensory-Friendly Instruction – I adapt lessons for water temperature,
noise, and tactile sensitivities, providing personalized guidance for
students with diverse needs, including those with disabilities.
Safety-Focused – Every lesson emphasizes lifelong water safety, from
basic awareness to proper technique, so students gain confidence and
independence in the water.
